Here are some common or frequently asked questions by Toga Tots Members or Friends looking to join us.

What sort of activities do you all do?
Well , A lot! Our Calendar is always full of fun things to do. We have events that are going on in our area as well as official Meetups hosted by our Members & Organizers. The activities each month can include but not limited to: Age appropriate playgroups (infants, toddlers etc..), Crafts, Moms Nights Out/In, Movie Nights, Fun Fridays, Informational Meetups (guest speakers, projects), Storytimes, Walking Buddies, General playtime, going out to area spots like the Tea Room or Tree Paad, Lunch/Breakfast with the families, Fundraising/Giving Back events etc... It changes from month to month but there's definitely something for everyone.

I'd like to hold a playgroup, how can I do that?
First off, Thank you for volunteering. We love the help & appreciate the time and energy you're giving the group! If you'd like to host an event please see our "How To Host" page for more information.

What are the costs associated with being a Member to Toga Tots?
While we currently do not have dues (it's free to be a member), there are costs involved with running the group. Our group fund is in place to help maintain the group and help offset costs carried by the Organizers. However, From time to time we may have our "Potluck" style events where everyone is asked to bring something to contribute to the event (like a snack, or juice or item for a project, toys etc..)

What ages are the children in the group?
The ages range from those still baking (expecting Moms) all the way up to Teenagers. While the majority of ages are in the infant & toddler range with preschoolers close behind.

Do you have evening & weekend events?
Yes! We try our best to meet the needs of all our families. We realize our families come from different backgrounds. Some of our families work full time, go to school, stay home etc.. We try to plan a variety of events at all days and times. We often have many afternoon, evening and weekend events scheduled. We strive to be working family friendly :)

This is my first event, how will I know who is from the group?
We're making it simple .... we all have name badges :) Each Member will receive a name badge in their welcome packets upon joining. These tags will have only your first name and the Toga Tots name. This will help take the guesswork out at events. Also, manytime the Hostess/Organizers will designate a meeting spot. When in doubt , stop there first and hang out. We'll come to you & introduce you to everyone!

I'd like to learn more about sponsoring your group, what do I need to know?
THANK YOU! We are always looking for family friendly sponsors that can either help us with a financial donation or with a donation of supplies, goods or services we can use for raffles or prizes to our Members. To learn more please visit our "How to Sponsor Us" page.

Where do you hold your events?
Our events are mostly based in the Saratoga Springs & immediate area. We do however travel to the north (Glens Falls area) and south (Clifton Park, Albany area) from time to time. Our events also take place both publicly in the community or at venues and in the private homes of our Members.

My child is special needs, may we join?
YES,Please do! There's quite a few families with special needs children of various abilities. We're here to support one another and we welcome everyone. We have a special forum designated to our Special Needs discussions too.

I work full time and I'm not sure I can make all the events, is this ok?
You bet! All we ask of our Members is that you attend ONE meetup a month. Also don't forget, our forums are open 24/7 so they are a great way to stay involved and in the loop inbetween events!

I'm an expecting Mom, can I join?
Congratulations! We'd love to have you join. All of our Expecting Moms are always welcome to come to any event. It's a great way to get to know the other Moms , seek advice and gain perspective before your little one arrives.

Can my Husband or family member come with us?
Of course! Almost all of our events are family oriented. Dads, Grandma's , Aunt's etc.. are always welcome. There are certain events where it's just us Moms but for the most part family time is encouraged :) When in doubt ask your hostess!

Can I bring a friend with us?
Any friend of yours is a friend of ours. The more the merrier :) All we ask is that you contact your Hostess to make sure it is ok first and pay attention to any attendance caps.

I have a concern or question, who can I talk to?
The Organizer, Lisa is available at anytime to help answer your questions or address any concerns you may have either in the group, with an event or with a Member. Her information can be found on the "Meet the Organizers" page or through the "email me" link located on the bar to the left.
